You may think that showering isn't all that complicated. After all, you’ve been doing it on regular basis for years. But there are a few things you should know if you want to have an efficient shower that does not damage to your skin in the long run.

1. Get the Water Temperature Just Right
Yes, steaming hot showers feel amazing and are ideal for deep cleaning, but the hot water strips the skin of its natural oils and dries out the moisture from your skin. Try to use cool or lukewarm water
2. Keep it short
Your shower should ideally last 5 to 10 minutes. It’s all about quality, not quantity. Long shower can dry out your skin.
3. Exfoliate
Exfoliation helps to have a soft and glowing skin as it unclogs the pores to prevent oil build-up and breakouts.
4. Dry your skin properly
It is better to use a bathrobe to dry your skin. You don’t have to rub your skin to get rid of the excess water like you will do with the traditional towel.
5. Moisturize immediately
It is better to moisturize your skin before leaving the bathroom so that you can take advantage of the ambient humidity to lock the moisture in. Using an oil-based moisturizer will help to keep your skin soft
